But in recent years, these fields have come under threat from development, gentrification, and neglect. That's why our documentary is fighting to save football fields not just for sport and the wellbeing of the local community but also the wildlife and ...

SAVE OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE

For 6 years we have been fighting to save Barrows Lane Football Fields and Community Hall for local residents. Entrusted to the Co-operative in 1920 by the Barrows Cadbury Family, this amazing heart of Yardley could be covered in concrete if Persimmons Builders get their way to build 110 houses. The local community are devastated at being ignored by Central England Co-operative whom we have res...

Lady Victoria Starkey - Riches to Rags
Переглядів 7 тис.6 років тому
To the manor born, Lady Victoria Starkey moved in royal circles with blue blood in abundance. In spite of rescuing her manor from spiralling debts, she is ostracised from her family, alone in a small house reflecting on her aristocratic past. This is the story of how a silver spoon turned wooden, how upper crust can turn to crumbs, how privilege and titles can be lost.

If Lemme says you're the best, than you're the best.
this video changed my life
I always thought he looked like Data.
Always felt like Pete did rhythm Guitar and John did bass guitar and lead. He was phenomenal.
True,to watch him..he did make it look easy...
Can't believe no one mentioned another John, John Wetton. Wetton with King Crimson. You want good bass, check it out . 2nd only to Entwisle
🍀😇🍀🙏
Entwistle, Lee, and McCartney.
I was fortunate enough to see the Who's original lineup twice. Just friggin nuclear powered rock. And OMG Daltry's voice!
I miss this brother, I miss this brother a great deal.
When Lemmy says you're the best, you are the best
Paul mccartney number 1 bass player??
McCartney was a revolutionary bass player. He totally liberated the instrument. But Entwhistle did the same thing. I would say that Entwhistle was a technically more proficient player than McCartney. He made great use of his education in classical music. And of course he played those amazing french horn parts on Who recordings.
Did he always play 4-string bass, never experiment with 5 or 6-string?
No contest...the best bloke on bass
@2:06 Bass Player of the Millennium list and James Jameson is not on it?!?!?! Bollocks. Absolute bollocks.
Entwistle was BORED?? Should have played guitar. Wanker.
Excellenti !!!!
Only thing was.... He never played a tune that I liked 😮
This guy doesn't get the recognition he deserves,,,yeah Keith Moon was great,,,but who would he have been without a great bass player like John Entwistle?,,with drummers and bass players being very compatible with each other, that is!
He shouldn’t have been annoyed by the polls. Paul McCartney deserved to get number 1 in those polls. Paul is the most tasteful melodic player. John Entwhistle wasn’t exactly tasteful or subtle. His playing is a bit too much on most songs. McCartney and James Jamerson played exactly what the songs needed, and still made them sing and groove with so many less notes.
McCarthy was more innovative, Entwhistle faster.
the epitome of cool!
That tapping he was doing was amazing
One of best..with a unique technic!
The MFing GOAT of bass guitar
They don’t make ‘em like that anymore 🙏
He looks like Darth Tyranus but with bass guitar)))) And his voice is very similar
Simply the best of the best...
0:08 AA forget about it Lmao look at his bar behind him with liquor bottles. Turned. Upside down on dispensers
Where can I watch the full feature?
My top 4 favorite bassist 1. John Entwistle 2. John Taylor 3. John Deacon 4. John Paul Jones
1:05 she’s not wasted
John was an absolute MANIAC on a bass- eventually (in my opinion) becoming the lead voice in the Who. He was also a maniacal collector of instruments, which I love about him!!
I think the concept of who’s the G.O.A.T. is way too subjective and personal to ever be correct. IMO, It really is more of a “who are those rare guys that opened the door a little further for the rest of us to get a bit more of a glimpse behind it”. Entwistle was absolutely one of those guys that opened the door wider, and every player after sees more.
Happy birthday big man....
where is the full thing then
‘Now that’s a bass guitarist’ said in the Entwistlian style.
Cocaine is a helluva drug...Rick James
First tapper....he deserves the credit.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
the guy at 0:14 looks like a walrus
Is this Spinal Tap???
Wow he's good real good
He gave me his french horn in 1973
Data slaps!
Is it just me, or do John's basses seem like they have extra long necks?
Lemmy is another one who played his bass like a guitar
Jaco Pastorius was the greatest bass player in the world.
I agree. The fact that Paul McCartney was voted the #1 bassist so many times just shows you the sewer-level musical knowledge of the ignorant fanboys.
He died the ultimate Rock Star Death. In bed with a stripper/groupie, loaded up with cocaine.
